DC Coast

1401 K St. NW, Washington, DC | 202-216-5988 | Modern-American Cuisine

An acclaimed Washington landmark since it burst on to the scene twelve years ago, DC Coast was conceived as a chic, comfortable atmosphere in which impeccable service meets first-class cuisine. Its cavernous space within the stunning Art Deco Tower Building anchoring the bustling K Street corridor is the sleek setting for chef Jeff Tunks and executive chef Matthew Kuhn’s innovative menu, inspired by America’s coastal regions: mid-Atlantic, Gulf Coast, and West Coast/Pacific Rim.

His engaging modern-American cuisine has been richly honored in the press: as Best New Restaurant in Washington by Esquire magazine; on Gourmet magazine’s list of “America’s Best Restaurants;” and among Bon Appétit’s “Our Favorite Restaurants.” For lunch, dinner, private functions, or drinks at the lively bar, DC Coast is Washington’s sophisticated choice.
